Data Keeping Service Co. Ltd. and Iron Mountain Digital K.K. announce partnership to bring Iron Mountain Digital’s award-winning LiveVault service to market.
Tokyo (Feb. 15, 2010) –Iron Mountain Digital K.K. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Garth Ramsey;), the Japan branch of Iron Mountain Digital, the technology arm of Iron Mountain Incorporated, has announced it has signed a partnership agreement for server backup and recovery services with Data Keeping Services Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Shigeyoshi Nishiyama; referred to below as DKS). DKS selected to partner with Iron Mountain Digital based upon the functionality and stability of their online server backup service. The service is expected to be launched by DKS in spring 2010.
DKS was established with capital investment from The Dai-Ichi Kangyo Bank (now Mizuho Bank, Ltd.) and its affiliated companies in 1972. Since then, DKS has engaged in record management services such as the storage of documents and backup tapes. Upon considering the current environment which requires strengthened support for Business Continuity Planning (BCP). DKS decided to adopt the use of Iron Mountain Digital’s server backup service “LiveVault”. DKS will be offering a server backup service based upon LiveVault as part of a comprehensive BCP solution to customers at their over 1,500 corporate customers, across a variety of vertical industries. DKS have also partnered with DATA solfis, which is a subsidiary of NTT-Data Corporation, (Headquarters: Chiba-shi,Chiba; President: Kenzou Kobayashi;) to provide infrastructure management services.

This time, we decide to launch the new backup and recovery service through the internet.
